Role Overview

An international consulting organisation is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Senior Consultant to support enterprise ServiceNow implementations in Japan. This role involves close collaboration with Japanese clients and global delivery teams, requiring strong technical capability, clear communication, and cultural awareness.



Language Requirements

*

Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 or above
*

Candidates with N3 or advanced business-level Japanese may be considered on a case-by-case basis, where strong technical expertise and experience working with Japanese clients can be demonstrated
*

Business-level or fluent English required
*

Open to both native and non-native Japanese speakers



Key Responsibilities

*

Design, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions based on business requirements
*

Deliver and support core ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset, and Service Catalog
*

Configure workflows, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, and integrations
*

Support platform upgrades and ongoing optimisation in line with ServiceNow best practices
*

Work directly with Japanese stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance
*

Collaborate with offshore and global teams where required
*

Produce clear technical and functional documentation



Required Experience

*

3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience (development, administration, or consulting)
*

Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM
*

Experience with JavaScript / GlideScript, HTML/CSS
*

Experience delivering solutions in client-facing environments
*

ServiceNow CSA certification or higher preferred
*

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively



Preferred Experience

*

Exposure to HRSD, CSM, or ITOM
*

Experience with Flow Designer and App Engine Studio
*

Experience working within offshore-onsite or global delivery models
*

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery
