ServiceNow System Administrator


As a ServiceNow administrator, your duties are to provide support and training responsibilities to end-users of the platform, as well as, monitoring system elements. You administrate the workflows on the platform, implement new system plug-ins, help with problem resolution, documentation, and test system efficiency.


* Interact with stakeholders (Sec Ops, L1, ITAM) on understanding goals and requirements.
* Automate, Create, document, develop, configure, and integrate applications using ServiceNow platform and best practices
* Developing Service Catalogs, Workflows, Catalog Scripts, Service Portal, macros
* ServiceNow Scripting like Scripted Rest APIs, Business rules, client scripts
* ServiceNow REST API, ACLs, data policy, notifications, email scripts
* Data load, transform creation and reporting capabilities.
* Assist in building and maintaining internal technical documentation, manuals, policies, configurations, and processes
* Coordinate with team on application and platform upgrades
* Assist with review and promotion of update sets
* Develop systems flows or workflows to provide process automation
* Monitor health & General support: administration and maintenance of ServiceNow instances, MidServers, and ServiceNow based applications
* Participate in project meetings/daily scrums and communicate development status
* Lead training both in person and through remote methods for platform components
* Assist with system improvements while maintaining best practices and OOB configurations
* Create/Develop functional testing approach, test cases and documentation
* Test, debug, configure, and document usage of Automated Test Framework (ATF)
* Monitor and resolve incidents in assignment group
* Prepare time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks and provide recommendations


* 4+ years' experience as a Service Now Administrator in a large Enterprise Environment
* Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM, SecOps and other SNOW modules
* Working knowledge of User Interface (UI) policies, data policies, UI actions, business rules and client scripts
* Strong knowledge of SDLC
* Ability to work in a team setting
* Demonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, and CMDB
* Familiarization supporting Asset Management, Service Catalog items, Self-Service Portal, and knowledge management
* Experience generating Reports. Familiarization with Performance Analytics,
* Experience developing and configuring flows, workflows, forms, catalog items
* Effective writing skills with the ability to document application configurations, system design, and architecture
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze business processes and workflow
* Ability to manage data with tables, the configuration management database (CMDB), import sets and update sets
* Understanding of SQL, JavaScript, and XML
* Time flexibility for instance upgrade weekend

Certification requirements:

* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
* ITIL v3/v4 certification
