Technical Architect, On-site, Chicago > 200k

A Bronze ServiceNow Consultancy is seeking an on-site Technical Architect that can lead and develop if needed. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of ServiceNow solutions for a client that wants to implement ServiceNow throughout all aspects of their business. This consultancy is seeking candidates that have broad module experience as well as Subject Matter Expertise on specifice modules.


This consultancy is budgeting the role for up to $200k, but flexible depending on experience.


The ServiceNow Architect is responsible for the ensuring the platform meets customer needs and that it is designed and maintained following both technical and ITIL process best practices. The Architect oversees 20-30 developers from multiple partners building out and operating capabilities on the platform. He or she owns the ServiceNow roadmap and helps drive partners to the business outcomes. Responsibilities: Meet with IT and business customers to scope new ServiceNow projects and provide architecture feedback. Maintain a catalog of standard ServiceNow-related offerings that bring new business units onto the platform. Liaise with ServiceNow sales team, product team, advisory team and MSP team in order to provide internal demos and architecture guidance to prospective executive stakeholders. Source projects with multiple implementation partners from the client. Maintain coding/design policies and conduct architecture reviews. Maintain architecture requirements (i.e. development coding, integrations, self-service portal, domain separation) and share with affected stakeholders. Conduct design reviews for project milestones and close out. Maintain a platform technical specifications for knowledge transfer to Operational team. Review and approve stories and acceptance criteria. Review and approve Release Notes. Review and approve Change Requests impacting the platform. Assist in root cause analysis of critical Incidents and Problems.


5+ years as lead developer or architect on ServiceNow or similar ITSM tool.

5+ years coding, database design, or B.I. experience

10+ years of overall technical/IT experience.

2+ years of project and/or resource management experience Expert in ITIL processes Pre-sales experience is a plus considering the consultancy is a services firm that is currently managing active engagements with over 100 Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies around the world.
